Gluten Free Pizza
If you followed my blog in the past you know that we were big homemade pizza fans. Basically, every Sunday night was pizza night. Homemade sauce, store-bought cheese and GF pizza dough made from scratch.
If you like pizza and want a ton of GF options for different crusts check out Peter Bronski's book on GF pizza -https://amzn.to/4r7zrIJ
I have used many different recipes and tons of flour combinations but although our go-to was good it was still GF pizza.
Enter Caputo's GF Pizza Flour.
I heard about this and was interested. It is made with wheat starch which technically does not contain the gluten antigen but I was skeptical and cautions and did a bunch of research.
Italy is the home of pizza and Italy has a lot of celiac patients and tons of GF options.
So I ordered some Caputo's from Amazon. You can find it here -https://amzn.to/3MUGoip
I followed the recipe on the bag.
It was less liquidy than my other GF pizza dough flours and easier to work with.
The dough, on a pre-heated pizza stone, cooked up quick.
Taste? Delicious.
Texture? pretty damn close to the real thing.
Did I make it again? Sure did.
Should you try it? Definitely.
Ciao
