Absolutely Gluten Free Crackers & Flatbread

This was find #2 when we were visiting family in Florida and this was a big hit, even with family members that do not have to eat GF.  My mother found it at a small natural food store near her house but you can order direct from the company.

Absolutely Gluten Free is a company out of Spring Valley, New York that produces, according to their website, gluten free and additive free snacks and aims to change the perception of gluten free food.  I think they met their goal.


We tried the everything and onion flavor crackers and flatbread.  They also have a plain version and cracked pepper.  The crackers are small squares and the flatbread is a long piece, essentially three squares in length.

Plain they are just fine but also good with a dip.  Try cream cheese or hummus.  I haven't tried this yet but they would work as a good GF bread crumb if you crumbled them up.

Looking for a GF cracker?  Look no further.  These are "Absolutely" great.

Pizza. One of the things we GF folk miss is pizza, grabbing a slice, ordering a pie, delivery pizza at home. It has been two years since the GF Food Expo in San Diego where I met the owner of the two local  Mountain Mike's Pizza.   He told me a story about his daughter, who has to be GF, and how his restaurants offer safe GF Pizza.  I kept thinking I would stop in - its been two years.  Sam Golding owns the shop in Clairemont Mesa and I believe another in San Carlos. Ghostfish Gluten Free Beer

I noticed that I have been slacking on the blog updates.  I do have some recipes to add and a bunch of new GF products that I have found.  But, one of the best new additions I have found was another dedicated GF Brewery out of the incredible Pacific Northwest.  Home to beautiful mountains, rivers, steelhead, salmon and GF Beer.  My other favorite GF beer is just south of these guys in Portland, Oregon - Groundbreaker Brewing  (The brew pub is also a block away from my favorite GF Bakery - New Cascadia Traditional. I found out about  Ghostfish Brewing  after hearing about all of the medals they won at the 2015 Beer events.  They are another dedicated GF Brewer located in Seattle, Washington.  Three guys making great GF beer. GFAF Expo 2015 San Diego

Well, its over but it was fun.  This was definitely the best expo that I have been to and there was lots to see and try.  The folks at  GFAF Expo  describe themselves as the largest Gluten Free and Allergen Free Expo in the US and I agree. While I was there I met Angela aka the celiac hash girl.  She has a cool  blog (celiachashigirl.com)  that you should check out. Massel's  had a nice booth front and center.  They make gluten free bouillon.  It comes in cubes, a condensed liquid and a granule form.  Not only is it GF but its vegan.  They have vegetable, chicken and beef flavors.  I made Vietnamese Pho with the beef and you would never know that its vegan.  Great to travel with if you cook when you travel - no more searching for GF broths.
